Last weekend I co-organized a local event in Moscow as a part of second Global WordPress translation day. Here’s how it went.
As you may know, WordPress is fully translated into more than 50 languages, partially translated into more than 70 and currently has 163 locales. And these numbers continue to grow thanks to the overawesome community that I’m proud to be a part of.
This time the guys from Setka Editor kindly let us organize the event in their office and provided all the necessities for an awesome meetup. Including pizza and drinks 🙂
We started with a short presentation on the basics of translating WordPress core, themes, and plugins and then carried on to actually translating Maker and Davis themes and Members plugin by Justin Tadlock.
After that, we talked to John Parkinson, who did a series of interviews with local event organizers. You can find us at 12:40.
I’m very glad that we did this meetup and looking forward to organizing the next one.
